APPLIED BEHAVIOURAL SCIENCE TO FIGHT COVID-19
iNudgeyou receives funding to fight the coronavirus pandemic and help with the reopening of Denmark
We have been granted funding from the Innovation Fund Denmark [Grand Solutions], for a multistage project regarding how to apply behavioural insights in the fight of the pandemic and the progressive reopening of the country.
We will be contributing on the fight of covid-19 crisis by helping public authorities in Denmark as well as private organizations to tackle this unprecedented challenge of public health.
Using insights from applied behavioural science, we will develop behavioural change interventions, guidelines and implementation manuals in close collaboration with the Danish Health Authority, which will be deployed by municipalities, schools, trade organisations, supermarkets and public transport, to prevent the spreading of the virus while helping on the reopening of the country.
To successfully tackle this challenge, we will apply our BASIC framework for conducting Behavioural Analyses, develop Strategies to overcome the challenges at hand, field-test Interventions, and scale in the pursuit of Change.
With the implementation of this project, we also make sure that we contribute on protecting essential workforce, stopping the spreading of the virus, minimizing absenteeism, and contributing to sequentially get Denmark back to the new normal.
Behavioural Domains of the project
BEHAVIOURAL CHANGE COMMUNICATIONS: OPTIMISING CORONA RELATED MESSAGES
The objective targeted in this domain is to ensure that citizens, employees and employers engage with high level of compliance – in all critical aspects – when addressed by coronavirus related communications, optimizing these by applying our expertise in crafting behavioural science driven communications.
We will be collaborating with the Danish Health Authority concerning this domain.
"WE FIGHT CORONAVIRUS" PROGRAMME: PROVIDING COMPANIES WITH SOLUTIONS TO EFFECTIVELY IMPLEMENT PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
The objective of the “We fight coronavirus” programme is to have companies independently implementing behaviourally driven solutions and tools related to relevant behaviours observed as society gradually turns back to normal.
BEHAVIOURAL OPTIMISED PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
The objective of implementing behaviourally optimised precautionary measures in collaboration with Danish municipalities is to maintain high levels of compliance by citizens for the recommendations provided. The solutions will address overlooked risk areas in public open spaces, such as parks, playgrounds, tourist attractions as well as private closed spaces, to stop the spread of the virus and help on the sequential reopening of the country.
OPTIMAL HANDLING OF CORONAVIRUS RISK FACTORS AT HOSPITALS
The objective of implementing behaviourally informed solutions at Danish hospitals is to minimize unnecessary exposure to coronavirus risk factors.
